ISOA Annual Awards
2026 Award Recipients
Our association recognizes remarkable members each year by presenting six awards: Rookie of the Year, Most Improved Official, Official of the Year, the Romsted-Drumm award, and the IHSA Girls and Boys Swimming Official of the Year awards. The award recipients are nominated by their peers and chosen by the ISOA board. The award winners for this year are featured below.
Rookie of the Year: Steve Strelzyk
Steve has been a swimming and diving official for 3 years. On the deck he is enthusiastic and respectful. He attempts to be in the proper position to make the appropriate calls. Steve seeks out recommendations for improvement and tries to implement those suggestions.
